By far the most interesting aspect of my work as an editor in the dental industry is the chance to interact with key opinion leaders (KOLs) shaping the profession. For the May/June issue of Inside Dentistry, I interviewed with three accomplished voices in periodontics and patient care: Mia L. Geisinger, Katrina M. Sanders, and Michael Sonick.
These experts discussed the importance of prevention, individualized care, collaboration, and the relationships that make effective patient care possible. We also explored topics ranging from oral-systemic health and advances in diagnostics to the evolving role of hygiene teams and the importance of communication and human connection in clinical practice.

With this issue of Inside Dentistry, I’ve also stepped into a new role as Managing Editor. It’s a career milestone I’m proud of, and I’m looking forward to writing and editing many more articles.
