My articles from the 2010 Midwinter Meeting in Chicago

I’ve just been to Chicago for the annual Midwinter Meeting, which is attended by thousands of dentists. I was there as part of my job with Dental Tribune. We published three issues of an at-show newspaper, which offers news about the meeting and information about new products on display.

I wrote several articles on site, for publication in our daily issues. I interviewed a dental assistant from Rochester, N.Y., about special equipment that allows a dental practice to take digital X-rays. I interviewed an entrepreneur who has a mobile van that allows patients to have high-resolution diagnostic images taken. I also interviewed executives from a company that manufactures lasers that are used in dental treatment.

In addition, I wrote about an event conducted by National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s Toothfairy, which is a non-profit organization that facilitates delivery of dental care to children whose parents cannot afford it.
