The High Line

One of my favorite places to walk is along the High Line. It’s an elevated rail platform on the west side of Manhattan that trains ran on was used many decades ago to transport freight. For years it sat empty until, finally, it was turned into a park. Today you can climb stairs or take an elevator to get to it, and you can walk all the way from Gansevoort Street to West 34th. On a nice day, it’s not to be missed.

Austin Powers impersonator

No, this is not Mike Myers. It’s the “Austin Powers impersonator,” and I’ve run into this character on the exhibit hall floor at many dental conventions over the years.

He is hired by Millennium Dental Technologies, a company that manufactures laser equipment for use by dentists, to help draw attention to the company booth. He does this in a fun, lighthearted way.

The latest issue of roots magazine includes my interview with the president of the AAE

I recently had the opportunity to interview Dr. Robert S. Roda, the incoming president of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), during the association’s annual session, held recently in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Roda is a practicing endodontist in Arizona and an educator. My interview with him is published in the latest issue of roots magazine, shown below. The interview with Dr. Roda is also on the Dental Tribune website — direct link here.
